Kayla Elaine Greaser, 63, Altoona, formerly of Williamsburg, went home to dwell with her Lord early Wednesday evening at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Lorella E. (Provins) Greaser and the late Willis L. Greaser.
Surviving are her mother of Williamsburg; six sisters: Janis Goldstein of Cave Creek, Ariz., Cynthia England and Trudy Hinish, both of rural Williamsburg, Karen Grace of Carefree, Ariz., Judy Waterhouse of Valatie, N.Y., and Lorella Thomas of Boalsburg; three brothers: Randy of Woodstock, Ga., Willis of Lititz and Dave of rural Williamsburg; numerous nieces and nephews and their families; and her many community friends.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1989 and a brother, George, in 2005.
Kayla was a 1971 graduate of Williamsburg High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where she was a member of "Growing Circle of Friends" Sunday school class and the church choir, served as a former lector and was very active in the life of the church. She was a former volunteer at Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Private interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
