Brian C. Noel, 55, Patton, passed away Thursday at his home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, son of the late Francis W. and Olive Pearl (Florig) Noel.
Surviving are six children: Wayde, Samantha, Jamie, Travis, Devon and Morgan; three stepchildren: Heather Weymer, Amanda Carnahan and Bryan Litzinger; 14 grandchildren; five siblings: Daniel of Patton, Nancy Richard in North Carolina, Alicia of Northern Cambria, Colleen of Patton and Loraine Hanson in Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon "Sherry" Stoltz; a brother, Darryl; and a nephew, Craig Rudolph.
Brian was a U.S. Army veteran and was employed with the Plasterers' Local Union No. 31, Pittsburgh. He had also been employed constructing sea walls in Florida and was a former steward at local clubs. He was a member of the Patton American Legion, where he was serving as commander, Patton VFW, Patton Moose, Patton Eagles, Patton Slovak Club, Order of Sons of Italy in America and Patton Sportsman's Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with people.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 Fifth Ave., Patton, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, by Benedictine Fathers. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery, and full military rites will be accorded by John White VFW Post 779 and Walter McCoy American Legion Post 614.
