Willard F. Long, 75, Gallitzin, died Tuesday at home.
He was born in Newry, son of the late Samuel and Mabel (Clark) Long. He married Joanne Jerosky on March 21, 1959.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Tammy Degand (Darrell) of Altoona; a grandson, Benjamin of Altoona; five siblings: Samuel and Randolph, both in New York, Shirley Shaw of Hollidaysburg, Malden in Michigan and Dorsey in Kentucky; and a brother-in-law, Peter Jerosky (Starla).
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Violet Helsel and Mildred Burket; and seven brothers: Ralph, Lewis, Dwite, Jay, Leo, Frank and Richard.
Willie was a self-employed mechanic and trucker. He was a gifted mechanic and received many awards for his work. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, his boat and the Chesapeake Bay.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service.
