P&J Production's "Bruce in the USA" brought Altoona to its feet.
Despite snow and frigid temperatures, Altoonans packed the Mishler Theatre Saturday night to enjoy the P&J production of "Bruce in the USA," Matt Ryan & American Dream's Tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E. St. Band.
The band brought us all back to our "Glory Days."
Performing for two and one-half hours without intermission, Ryan and his band warmed our hearts and brought us to our feet for their smashing finale and two encore songs.
They played all the best of Springsteen from moving ballads and love songs to our favorite hits "Born in the USA," "Born to Run" and "Dancing in the Dark."
From Ryan's magnificent singing to the soloist instrumental performances and touching tribute to the late Clarence Clemens, the pitch perfect performance was amazing.
Thank you, P&J, for bringing us some sunshine from Las Vegas and thank you, Altoona, for turning out for this wonderful show, despite the deep freeze.
I think we all felt a bit of Springsteen in the air.
