Bonda S. Snively, 71, Hollidaysburg, died Monday evening at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Madeline (Alberts) Shinafelt and the late Merrill Shinafelt. She married H. Foster Snively on Sept. 28, 1963.
Surviving are her husband, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage; her mother of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Kelly S. Klein and husband, Michael, of Lock Haven; a son, Scott W. of Macungie; five grandchildren: Courtney, Lauren, Kristin, Kaitlyn and Kyler; an aunt, Betty Alberts; and two cousins: Jeff Simms and Rob Shinafelt.
Bonda was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School and a graduate of the Presbyterian University Hospital, School of Nursing, Pittsburgh. She was employed as a registered nurse and was a member of the Ladies' Oriental Shrine, Jobel Court, and the Daughters of the Nile. She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, the Rev. Dr. Robert S. Ludronsky officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or the Jaffa Shrine Capital Fund.
