Junior Achievement of Blair County recently kicked off its annual fundraising campaign under the leadership of honorary chairwoman, Holly Vaughan of Citizens National Bank.
Local business leaders are asked to support this effort to educate and inspire young people to succeed in the global economy.
Junior Achievement sparks the entrepreneurial spirit of young people and inspires students to own their economic success.
JA's partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers provides Blair County students with relevant, age-appropriate, experiential programs that deliver career role models and cutting-edge tools, such as leadership, teamwork and decision-making skills.
Encouraging students to see their own potential and strive for success is embodied in JA programs. Financial support of these programs will help young people of Blair County learn and prepare for further economic success.
This year's annual campaign goal is to secure resources to deliver programs to more than 2,800 students. The 2013-14 annual fundraising goal is $42,000.
Donations can be sent to Junior Achievement Blair County, 647 Main St., Suite 300, Johnstown, PA 15901.
