Susan M. Ritchey, 64, Claysburg, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of Effie G. (McIntyre) Walter and the late Leslie R. Walter.
Surviving are her mother of Claysburg; a son, Jason and wife, Kelly, of Claysburg; a daughter, Tina Dirkse and husband, Paul, of Tyrone; two grandsons: Isaac and Zachariah Gates; a sister, Sally Shedlock and husband, Joseph, of Duncansville; a brother, Everett Walter; a brother-in-law, Forris Oldham; a niece, Denise Summers; and a great-niece, Brooklyn Summers.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Oldham.
Susan was a 1967 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and attended Pruonto's Hair Design Institute. She was employed at Cenveo in Claysburg for 19 years and previously had been employed at Tritex Sportswear and Cannondale. She attended Grace Fellowship Church, Leamersville Campus.
Susan enjoyed reading, sewing, baking, canning and riding motorcycles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, Pastor Mark Lingenfelter officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
