Isabel E. Phillips, 76, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Duncansville, died Wednesday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg after an extended illness.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late William and Isabelle (Feather) Lukehart. She married James B. Phillips on May 14, 1975, and he died Jan. 26, 2004.
Surviving are seven children: Cathy Brown and husband, Brian, of Roaring Spring, Harry Thompson and wife, Cindee, of Hollidaysburg, Brian Thompson and wife, Abby, of Duncansville, Bonnie Maher and husband, Eddie, of Hollidaysburg, Brenda Smith of East Freedom, Sarah Krushinskie and husband, Alan, of Green Brook, N.J., and Crystal Wertz and husband, Jamie, of Duncansville; a stepdaughter, Sherry Phillips of Martinsburg; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Isabel is also survived by four siblings: Adam Feather and wife, Edna, of Pottstown, George Feather and wife, Nancy, of Manhasset, N.Y., Floyd Feather and wife, Nancy, of Port Washington, N.Y., and Darlene Hilbert of Pottstown.
She was preceded in death by four siblings: William Feather, Janet Feather, Violet Feathers and Vivian Carr.
Isabel was a 1954 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and had worked at Loungeray as a seamstress. She was of the Lutheran faith, and she enjoyed bingo, music, shopping, puzzles, arts and crafts and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. by Pastor Tim Guyer. Inurnment will be made in Riverview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Isabel's memory may be given to The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
