Ruth N. Lanzendorfer, 93, Duncansville, died Monday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Charles and Margaret (Sisk) Schilling. She married Leo Lanzendorfer in 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are five children: Mary of Duncansville, Shirley Romani (Larry) of Hollidaysburg and John (Linda), Arlene (Lynn Moyer) and Bernard (Marilyn), all of Duncansville; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
Ruth was proud of being the 13th child of 16 children, and she was the last surviving sibling. She was also preceded in death by four grandchildren: Natasha Lanzendorfer, Bobby Watson, Jonna Romani-Bryan and Tracy Lanzendorfer.
She loved talking and spending time with family and friends, and she enjoyed music and dancing.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Jan. 8, 2014, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Duncansville, officiated by Monsignor Robert C. Mazur. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
