Dorothy M. "Dot" Weyandt, 83, Claysburg, went home to be with the Lord Thursday at home.
She was the daughter of the late Irwin and Nettie (Lingenfelter) Dively. She married Kenneth "Bink" Weyandt on July 10, 1947, in Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Diane Moritz and husband, Gunter, of Claysburg; two grandsons, of whom she was so proud: Kenneth Moritz and wife, Whitney, of Altoona and Gregory Moritz and wife, Heidi, of Roaring Spring; three great-granddaughters, whom she dearly loved: Emma, Lucy and Sophia Moritz; a brother, Robert Dively; and her best friend of 53 years, Kay Schon.
She was preceded in death by five brothers: Brady, Melvin, Leslie, Mearl and Wilmer; and four sisters: Anna Black, Grace Dively, Millie Daugherty and Thelma Albright.
Dot was a member of the Claysburg Church of God and taught Sunday school and directed the choir there for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing and traveling.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at the Claysburg Church of God, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, Pastor Terry Bowden officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Claysburg Church of God Missions Fund.
