Emma (Ciccarella) DeFalco-Rodono, 98, Altoona, passed away Monday at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Vito and Rosa (Sinisi) Ciccarella. She was twice married, first to Lucian DeFalco in 1934; he died in 1967. She then married D. Donald Rodono in 1970, and he died in 1985.
Surviving are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by a sister, Danna Servello; and six brothers: John, Joseph, Eugene, Carmine, Anthony and Michael Ciccarella.
Emma was the owner and operator of DeFalco's Bridal Shop, where she made gowns for brides and bridesmaids. She remained active in sewing and tailoring well into her 80s. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, as well as the Order Italian Sons and Daughters of America, where she was secretary and treasurer for many years. She also belonged to the Ladies Columbian Circle.
Emma enjoyed sewing, cooking and traveling.
Friends will be received from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In memory of Emma, contributions may be given to Sacred Heart Church.
