Danyelle Nichole "D.D." Dean, 28, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord Saturday with her beloved father, Scott Francis Sanders.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Karen G. (Burns) Sanders and the late Scott Francis Sanders. She married Ronald J. Dean in 2008 in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband and their daughter, Gabbreella; her mother of Altoona; a sister, Angela Hughes and husband, Adam, of Altoona and their daughter, Aryn "YaYa"; a brother, Christopher Sanders and wife, Autumn, of East Freedom and their children, Colton and Evan; her grandmothers: Joyce Burns of Altoona, Nancy Bollman of Cresson and Darlene Anderson of Vintondale; and her best friend, Robert Burns.
She was preceded in death by a son, Cayson Jonathan Dean; her grandfathers: Wilbur Burns and Alfred Sanders; and her mother-in-law, Diana Dean.
Danyelle was a 2003 graduate of Altoona Area High School and was employed as a direct support assistant for Skills of Central Pennsylvania Inc. She was a member of Simpson-Temple United Parish and a volunteer for the American Heart Association and Altoona Dance Theatre.
Danyelle loved making scarves, baking, watching her shows, playing on her phone, taking Gabbreella to dance and spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 3 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a prayer service will be held at 8:30 p.m. with the Rev. Denise Arpino officiating. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Simpson-Temple United Parish, 2212 Sixth Ave., Altoona, the Rev. Denise Arpino officiating.
