Mary R. Diveglia, 87, Altoona, passed away Sunday at home.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of George and Mary (Rodack) Elmy. She married Daniel F. Diveglia, and he died April 20, 2009.
Surviving are four daughters: Gloria R. Larson of Altoona, Donna M. (Jim) Sult of Sykesville, Md., Maria A. (David) Dubbs of Milesburg and Paula J. (Richard) Kustenbauder of Duncansville; two sons: Daniel G. (Jackie) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Paul J. (Melisa) of Altoona; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two siblings: Eleanor Messmer and Henry (Raghline) Elmy, both of Wilkes-Barre; a former daughter-in-law, Sherrie Diveglia; and a good friend, Sonny Gates.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: George and Edward; and two sisters: Irene and Florence.
Mary worked in private duty nursing. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Mount Carmel choir as well as the Order of the Eastern Star, Tyrone Chapter. She enjoyed going to casinos, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
