Thomas Earl Irvin, 85, Chattanooga, Tenn., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday in a local hospital.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William Nelson and Mary Elizabeth Irvin.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ann Louise Irvin; a son, Michael (Kate) Irvin of Altoona; a daughter, Cindy (Mark) Donaldson of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five grandchildren: Ben Irvin, Matthew Irvin, Jessica Donaldson, Andrew Donaldson and Lauren (Adam) McCrary; a great-grandson, Abram McCrary; and a brother, Larry (Ann) Irvin of Huntingdon.

Mr. Irvin was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga, Tenn., and the Perserverers Sunday school class.
He was retired from the Pennsylvania Electric Co. after 36 years of service.
He was an elder in Westminster Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
Friends will be received from 1 to the 3 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at Covenant Presbyterian Church with Dr. J. Render Caines officiating. Friends will also be received from 10 to the 11 a.m. services Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, in the chapel of the Good Funeral Home Inc., Pastor Mark Brown officiating. Burial will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Building Fund of Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8451 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN, 37421; or online to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
