Harry F. "Hadd" Worley, 90, formerly of Kerbaugh, Antis Township, died Wednesday at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late William and Viola (Harshberger) Worley. He married Clara K. Garman in Phenix City, Ala., and she preceded him in death on Nov. 18, 2013.
Surviving are four grandchildren: Kenneth S. Jr. of Altoona, William J. of Lakemont, Cheryl Kelly of Greenwood and Mandi Dennis of Pinecroft; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a special niece, Carol Smith.
He was the last of his immediate family and was preceded in death by seven siblings: William, Paul, Sarah Welsh, Viola Deyarmin, Mary Reed, Myrtle Burket and Helen Oswald and two sons, Kenneth S. Sr. and William P. Worley.
Harry was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. He retired in 1986 as a batch plant operator at New Enterprise Stone & Lime Co., Altoona. He was of the Brethren faith.
Harry was a member of the Juniata VFW and enjoyed vegetable gardening, tinkering with small engine mechanics and butchering.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 6, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a funeral service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, Pastor Rod Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Antis Cemetery.
