Glenda Joan Singel, 69, formerly of Duncansville, died Monday afternoon at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Stuttgart, Ark., daughter of John H. and Lottie D. (Bland) Bailey. She married James M. Singel on March 21, 1981, in Greece, N.Y., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2000, after having shared 19 years of marriage.
Surviving are a daughter, Theresa Olene Singel of Duncansville; two stepdaughters: Michelle Cooper and husband, Scott, and Christine Margiotta and husband, Emmanuel, all in Florida; five grandchildren: Jamie Cooper, Kristy Margiotta, Brittany Singel, Joseph Margiotta and Michael Cooper; two sisters: Margaret Ann Bailey Campbell of El Dorado, Ark., and Martha Lavion Bailey Soo of Burke, Va.; and a brother, Doyle Owen Bailey of St. Louis, Mo.
Glenda was a graduate of El Dorado High School, Magnolia, Ark., and attended Southern State College. She retired as a secretary from Eastman Kodak in Rochester, N.Y. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Newry.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. by Father Leo A. Lynch. Committal will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
