Erma A. Omlor, 89, Altoona, went to be with the Lord peacefully Monday at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late John and Theresa (DeBenedetto) Moschella. She was married to the late David E. Omlor.
Erma will be missed by her two daughters: Theresa Ann "Terri" Yohn and Patricia "Patty" Swires, both of Altoona; three grandchildren: Jennifer, Jeff and Rodney; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Madey; four brothers: Michael, Russell, Eddie and Alphonso; and a grandson, Kenneth Michael Swires.
Erma was of the Catholic faith. She had many fond memories growing up and enjoyed spending time with her family. She would always have great stories to share over her 89 years of life. Watching soap operas, helping her daughters with chores, playing cards and going for ice cream were always at the top of her list of favorite activities.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 4, 2013, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
