Benjamin P. Rhine, 80, a resident of Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, formerly of Hollidaysburg, died Friday evening at the home.
He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Benjamin F. and Margaret (Hoffman) Rhine.
Surviving are three children: Wanda L. Locher, Steve and Allen, all of Hollidaysburg; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret; and two brothers: George and Joe.
He was preceded in death by eight siblings: Grace, Art, Mary, Betty, Dave, Raymond, Ellen and Jim.
Ben was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean conflict. He retired from Berwind-White Railroad. He was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Duncansville.
Friends will be received from 6 until the 8 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville, with Pastor Barry L. Fry officiating. Interment will be at Dry Run Cemetery.
