Betty Flo Durbin, 87, Cresson, died Thursday at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Gallitzin, daughter of the late John and Blanche (Fitzsimmons) Kent. She was one of 13 children.
Surviving are two sons: Greg (Patty) and Tom (Eileen), both of Cresson; a daughter-in-law, Charlene Durbin of Cresson; seven grandchildren: Kathy, Lisa, John, Sara, Rebecca, Craig and Kirk; eight great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Shirley Kane of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on Sept. 22, 1999; and a son, Joseph.
Betty had worked at the Gallitzin Shirt Factory and Petersburg Manufacturing, Cresson. She was an active member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Portage, volunteering her time at church functions. She liked to cook and go Christmas shopping.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where Parastas will be held at 7 p.m. Panachida will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at the funeral home.
Funeral Liturgy will follow at 1 p.m. Monday at SS. Peter and Paul Church, Father James Spontak officiating. Committal will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson.
