Mr. and Mrs. Paul Clapper of Elmcroft Assist-ed Living, Duncansville, celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary Oct. 4 with a family get-together.
They were married Oct. 4, 1939, at the Church of the Brethren, Hollidaysburg. Mrs. Clapper is the former Gladys Loose.
The couple have six children: Nancy McGee of Rockville, Md.; Richard of Boyds, Md.; Jane Holsinger of Surfside, S.C.; Linda Mongrain of Fort Pierce, Fla.; Carrie Bowers of York; and Paula Parker of Duncansville.
They also have 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Clapper retired as owner of Clapper Brothers Plumbing and Heating, Lakemont, and owner of Woodland Park Campground, Ebensburg.
Mrs. Clapper is a homemaker and worked at Woodland Park Camp-ground as a bookkeeper.
Both are members of Hollidaysburg Church of the Brethren, where Mr. Clapper is a lifetime deacon.
