Ronald C. Long, 63, Duncansville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday at home.
He was born in Imler, son of the late L. Clair and Ruth E. (Berkey) Long. He married Dottie Dull on Oct. 17, 1970, in Fishertown.
Surviving are his wife of Duncansville; two sons: Michael Long and wife, Tina, of Altoona and Adam Long and wife, Kayleen, of Blue Knob; five grandchildren: Brayden, Tyler, Nora, Mycah and Amber; two brothers: Robert W. and D. Darle Long, both of Imler; and a sister, Dawn R. Gall of Bedford.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sally E. Walter.
John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me. Through the years Ron has faithfully served his Savior, Jesus Christ, as a layman speaker, church board member, church treasurer, Sunday school teacher, Awana Club leader, and through the visitation program and the bus ministry. He was an active member of the Puzzletown Road Bible Church and loved to sing in the choir, men's quartet and as a soloist.
Ron was 1968 graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School and a graduate of the Computer Technology Institute, Philadelphia. He retired as a computer operator and enjoyed being with his wife, children and grandchildren.
He loved family vacations, taking his grandchildren for rides in his "50" Chevy and attending antique car shows. He enjoyed sports and watching his grandsons play. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 until the 11 a.m. service Wednesday at the Puzzletown Road Bible Church, 316 Puzzletown Road, Duncansville, PA 16635, with Pastor Jon Gross officiating. Interment will be at Dry Run Cemetery.
