Rose Marie McConahy, 86, Altoona, died Tuesday evening at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Jerry and Marie (Gauntner) Ivory. She married William D. McConahy on July 16, 1949, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2010.
Surviving are a daughter, Diane Marie Stahl and husband, Jeffrey; two sons: William James and former wife, Vickie, and Edward David and wife, Rose, all of Altoona; five grandchildren: Nicole Cutler and husband, Jeff, and their son, Justin, Adam Stahl, Heather McConahy, Ryan McConahy and Edward McConahy; a sister, Ann Mae Ressler of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Patrick James of Altoona.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Joseph Richard and William Paul.
Rose Marie retired as a trimmer from Saf-T-Bak and also had worked at Puritan and Sylvania. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Blair Senior Center, Horseshoe Seniors, Golden Nuggets and Bavarian Aid Society. She enjoyed traveling, bus trips and driving her car.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013, at Stanley J. Krish Funeral Home Inc., 1204 17th St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Committal will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations for Masses.
