Paul P. Scaramozzino Sr., 89, Altoona, passed away peacefully Saturday after an extended illness.
He was born in Barnsboro, son of Paul and Angeline (Sauro) Scaramozzino. He married the former Suzanne Mulvehill on Sept. 24, 1956, in Ebensburg.
He is survived by his wife at home; two daughters: Brigette Scaramozzino and Paula Kvartunas and husband, Mike; two sons: Paul Scaramozzino Jr. and wife, Dawn, and Mark Scaramozzino; four grandchildren: Nicolas, Nicole, Alicia and Brittany; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Tillie and Theresa; and two brothers: Joseph and Patsy.
Paul was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
He was the owner/operator of J&P Auto Mart for 58 years, retiring in 2011.
Paul graduated Barnesboro High School.
He served as a Tech Sergeant during WWII in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by Father Eugene Kubina, T.O.R. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
