Betty E. (McTague) Buckrop-Albright, 89, Hollidaysburg, died Thursday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Gallitzin, daughter of the late William and Adelaide (Stephenson) McTague. She married Gene D. Albright on Aug. 2, 1976, in Michigan.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Irene Racz of Ashville; a stepdaughter, Leeann Albright of Northfield, Mich.; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Velma McTague of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mahlon R. Buckrop; two sons: Carl and Allan Buckrop; five sisters: Katherine, Constance, Irene and two infants; and two brothers: William and John.
Betty was a graduate of Gallitzin High School, Altoona School for Secretaries and Altoona Area Vo-Tech School as an LPN. She was first employed at Publix Shirt Factory and then as an LPN at Altoona Hospital, Van Zandt VA Medical Center and several hospitals in Michigan. She attended church at the chapel at Garvey Manor.
Betty enjoyed reading, sewing, baking and playing cards.
At the request of the family, there will be a private viewing and service. Interment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a diabetes organization.
