Victoria L. Kissel, 23, Altoona, went into the arms of the Lord Friday at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC.
She was born in Daytona Beach, Fla., daughter of Charles "Chip" Kissel, who died March 20, 2002, and Valerie (McElroy) Kissel.
Surviving are her paternal grandparents, Ken and Lee Neibauer of Altoona, who have cared for her since infancy; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Jeanette McElroy in Ohio; a sister, Heather Kissel of Mentor, Ohio; a niece, Carmen DelValle; aunts and uncles: Kathy and Tim Bowser of Hollidaysburg, Scott and Colleen Kissel of Geneva, Ohio, and Bonnie and Gary Yost of Jefferson, Ohio; cousins: Hayley and McKenzie Shaw, Derek Bowser and Michelle, Kristina, Anna and Jon Kissel; and best friends: Emily, Jennalynn and Brandon.
She was preceded in death by an uncle, Brad, on March 19, 2012.
Victoria was a 2008 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 2011 graduate of Sessions College with a degree in web design. She was a member of Altoona Alliance Church.
She enjoyed computers, messaging friends and family on her cellphone and spending time at the mall with her friends. She especially enjoyed watching "The Vampire Diaries" every Thursday with her friend, Tina Marcaurelle. Some of her highlights in life were meeting President Bill Clinton, Winnie the Pooh, Ricky Martin, Scotty Pippin, Michael Jordan, the Jonas Brothers, Big Time Rush and Jane Seymour.
Victoria lit up every room she went into.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the noon memorial service Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Altoona Alliance Church by Pastor Timothy McGarvey.
The family requests that contributions be made to Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602, in Victoria's memory.
