Mr. and Mrs. Herman Nagle of Avalon Road, Altoona, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
They were married Oct. 19, 1963, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Cumberland, Md.
Mrs. Nagle is the former Sandra L. Wilson.
The couple have three children: Roy and his wife, Tracy, of McAlevy's Fort; Tracey Ingold and husband, Tony, and Christine Anderson and husband, Rob, of Cresson.
They also have eight grandchildren: Devon, Kelsey and Carley Ingold, Riley and Kailyn Anderson and Elijah, Aidan and Theodora Nagle.
Mr. Nagle retired in 2001 after 13 years with Young, Oakes, Brown and Co., CPAs and 29 years as the comptroller for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, Hollidaysburg. He is a past president of the Altoona Lions Club and has self-published several local history books since he retired.
Mrs. Nagle was employed at Blair Medical Associates for 30 years and enjoys craft activities.
Both are members of St. Therese of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona.
