Sydnee Alexis Ellis, 18, Williamsburg, passed away late Sunday night from injuries received in an automobile accident in Huntingdon County.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Adam J. Vinglas and Jessica S. Ellis.
Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Jessica and Harry Evans Jr., with whom she resided; her father and stepmother, Adam and Misty Vinglas of Raeford, N.C.; an additional stepfather, Christopher Litzinger and fiancee, Cherie, of Canoe Creek, rural Hollidaysburg; eight siblings: Randi Farringer, Erica Evans, Lisa Schafer, Caitlan Smith, Adia Litzinger, Zoie Litzinger, Tyler McDaniels and Elizabeth Vinglas; her grandparents: Luke and Rose Marie Vinglas and Wayne and Betsy Ellis, all of Altoona; her great-grandparents: Howard and Alfreda Ellis and Ronald and Janet Filer; and her boyfriend, McKenzie Werdebaugh of Mount Union.
Sydnee was a 2013 graduate of Williamsburg High School, where she participated in volleyball, softball, cheerleading, National Honor Society, Creative Compassions and chorus. She was presently attending South Hills Business School, State College campus, where she was enrolled in sonography. She was employed in the customer service/child care department at Wolf's Furniture, Altoona, and also at H.C.S. Cleaning Service, Hollidaysburg.
Sydnee was a member of Canoe Creek Brethren in Christ Church, rural Hollidaysburg, where she participated in the youth group. She was a member of the Order Sons of Italy in America, Altoona Lodge 987, participated in the Logan Valley Mall Style Club, was an avid photographer, loved cats and enjoyed traveling, having recently returned from visiting Germany with her sister, Lisa, and Lisa's parents, Yolanda and Udo Schafer.
Sydnee was a loving and giving person and received great joy in helping others.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 17, 2013, at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, Pastor Scott Elkins officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be given to the Sydnee A. Ellis Memorial Fund/Attention: Jessica Evans, c/o First National Bank or Clearfield Bank, Williamsburg.
