I find it quite amusing (or is it bemusing?) that our state government keeps adding more lottery games.
I remember when video poker was big in the bars. They kept raiding these places and giving them fines and taking any money out of the machines. Reason given: They didn't want people to spend their paychecks on gambling.
They stated that the families of these gamblers would go without food, rent not being paid, on and on. And then corruption would set in.
Well, now that the states need more money, how do they get it? Right, by adding more lottery games for people to spend their money on. Am I the only one who sees the irony in this?
Come on: It's either good or bad. You can't have it both ways.
