Crawford W. "Sonny" Imler, 66, Hacker Valley, W.Va., passed away unexpectedly Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Wilmont and Verna (Crawford) Imler. He grew up in Martinsburg and lived the majority of his adult life in Alexandria.
Surviving are his companion, Linda Fraley; a brother, Gary L.; two sisters: Bonnie (Russ) Hechler and Dolly (John) Ford; a nephew, Matt (Pam) Weitzel; and a host of friends and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by a great-niece, Chloe Weitzel.
Sonny was a retired claims payer for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Co. He accepted the Lord as his Savior on April 25, 1976, and was Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service today, Oct. 5, 2013, at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home Inc., Webster Springs, W.Va., Junior Anderson officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at Brumbaugh Cemetery, Martinsburg.
