Aileen J. "Corky" Anderson, 67, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly Sunday morning at her residence.
She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of Edward and Vernetta (Outten) Fuller. She married Milton C. Anderson on Jan. 19, 1967, in Clarion.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mattie (Pat) Cattern of Key West, Fla.; two grandchildren: Sam and Ellie Cattern; and two sisters: Margie Giesey of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Susan (Ken) Mielnik of Hollidaysburg.
Corky was a 1963 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a 1967 graduate of Clarion University. She taught sixth grade at Allegheny No. 1 Elementary School in Hollidaysburg and retired from the Altoona Area High School main office in 2009. She really enjoyed reading, often reading a book a day.
There will be no visitation or service.
The family requests that donations be made to the Hollidaysburg Area Public Library, 405 Clark St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648, in memory of Corky.
