Edward T. Bradley, 87, Fort Wayne, Ind., formerly of Altoona, passed away peacefully Wednesday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Mark and Mary Pearl (Bertram) Bradley. He married Pauline M. Servello in 1951, and she died Aug. 8, 1987.
Surviving are three sons: Edward T. Jr. (Doris) in Ohio, Kevin G. (Rita) of Silver Spring, Md., and Scott P. (Monica) of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark; and two sisters: Louise Brandt and Marie Bradley.
Edward was a 1943 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and a 1950 graduate of Penn State University with a degree in commerce and finance. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army 89th Infantry during WWII. He worked for Fisher Body in 1953 in Cleveland, Ohio, and then worked at the Ford Motor Co. Stamping Plant in Cleveland, where he was employed as an industrial engineer from 1957 until his retirement in 1988.
Edward was a member of St. Rita Church in Solon, Ohio, and a former member of the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. He was a member of the senior center in Solon, and he enjoyed history, genealogy, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum with military honors.
