Bellwood’s Crook cruises to win at P-O

PHILIPSBURG - Ellen Crook won the girls race by more than 3 minutes to lead the Bellwood-Antis girls to a 24-31 victory over Philipsburg-Osceola in high school cross country Thursday.

B-A's Isaac Mills won the boys race in 19 minutes, 4 seconds, but the B-A boys fell to P-O, 25-33. P-O's Scott Yarger was third in 19:42.

Dunmyer leads PC

CRESSON - Ian Dunmyer shot an 82 to lead Penn Cambria as it defeated Bishop McCort, 429-448, in high school golf at Summit Country Club.

Nick Piskursich of Bishop McCort finished with a 76 to lead all golfers, while Donte Perino carded an 85 for Penn Cambria as it improved to 8-1.

Tigers finish first

ORE HILL - Hollidaysburg shot a 316 to defeat Altoona (344), Central (373) and Philipsburg-Osceola (419) at Iron Masters Country Club.

Hunter Shields led the Golden Tigers with a 77. Jesse Ottaway shot a 78 and Jerome Landry shot a 79.

Trentin Martin shot an 81 to lead Altoona. Central's Preston Gregg shot an 81 and P-O's Carter Fischer shot an 88.

BEDFORD - Bedford's Nick Straub carded a 72 to lead the Bisons past Somerset, 392-420, at Bedford Elks Golf Club.

Steve Yaros shot a 72 for Somerset, while Kevin McDaniel added a 76 for Bedford as it improved to 11-2.

Central falls to FH

MARTINSBURG - Forest Hills defeated Central, 6-1, to improve to 13-2 in high school tennis.

Rachel Blanchetti, Kayla Makin, Emily Shirt and Brianna Neff recorded singles wins for Forest Hills. The Lady Rangers also swept the doubles matches.

Central's Mikaela McGraw won the No. 1 singles match over Emily Goldyn.

Bearcats roll to win

HUNTINGDON - Torrie Lauer scored two goals to lead Huntingdon to a 5-0 win over Southern Huntingdon in high school field hockey.

Huntingdon's Ashton Stone, Hannah Coffman and Olivia Marker also scored, and goalkeeper Abby Border had three saves.
