Tigers suffer first loss

HOLLIDAYSBURG - The Hollidaysburg boys golf team got a 40 from Isaac Wood in its 209-211 loss to Latrobe in a match played at the Scotch Valley Country Club in high school action on Wednesday.

It was the first loss of the year for Hollidaysburg (8-1). Latrobe was led by Chad Kissell and Adam Martin who each shot 38.

The Tigers also got 41s from Hunter Shields and Danny Stubbs.

Latrobe hiked its record to 9-1.

LATROBE (209): Kissell 38, Martin 38, J.Biss 39, C. Biss 45, Poole 49.

HOLLIDAYSBURG (211): Wood 40, Stubbs 41, Shields 41, Landry 44, Snyder 45.

Records: Latrobe (9-1), Hollidaysburg (8-1)

P-O takes second

PHILIPSBURG - Bellefonte (192) won a four-way match with Philipsburg-Osceola (209), Hollidaysburg (219) and Clearfield (222) at the Philipsburg Country Club in girls action.

Abby Love led Hollidaysburg with a 46, and Abby Showers and Haylee Hayward each shot 50 for Philipsburg-Osceola.

Bellefonte's Kaitlyn Vogel was the medalist, shooting a 39.

Hollidaysburg is now 2-9.

BELLEFONTE (192): Vogel 39, Morris 48, Stoeter 55, Urban 50.

PHILIPSBURG-OSCEOLA (209): Hayward 50, Showers 50, Burns 53, Foreman 56.

HOLLIDAYSBURG (219): Glass 55, Love 46, M. Fitch 56, DeProspo 62
