Peter Kosanovic, 69, Altoona, died Monday at his residence.
He was born in Duquesne, son of the late Fred and Anna (Bedlovitz) Kosanovic. He married Sheila K. Scholl on March 9, 1995.
Surviving are his wife; five stepchildren: Bill Ross (Loie), Chris Baronner (Amanda), Tim Ross (Lisa) and Joseph Baronner, all of Altoona, and Melissa Suter (Kevin) of Loysburg; six grandchildren: Howard, Ashley, Jace, Trent, Jase and Justice; three great-grandchildren: Natalie, Owen and Kristen; and two siblings: Stephanie DeNicola (Bob) and Fred (Nancy), both of North Huntingdon.
He was preceded in death by a sister, MaryAnn Germuska.
Peter retired from the Construction, General Laborers & Material Handlers Local Union 1058. He enjoyed gardening and collecting die-cast model trucks and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Richard Harter. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
