Vera Katherine Colebaugh, 98, Claysburg, passed away peacefully Friday after a short illness at The Village at Morrisons Cove.
She was born in Claysburg, daughter of the late Grant and Sarah Ellen (Dodson) Weyandt. She married Howard Ross Colebaugh Jr. and he died Sept. 10, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, B. Ellen Sell and husband, Nelson, of Claysburg; a son, Christopher, with whom she resided; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; twin great-great-granddaughters; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Samuel and Claude Weyandt; and a sister, Thelma Stiffler.
Vera was a graduate of Greenfield Kimmel High School. She worked at Penn Shoe Co., as a telephone operator in Claysburg, and at Puritan.
Vera enjoyed reading and baking many wedding cakes for friends and family. She was also a caretaker for her mother and sister for many years. She loved visiting family and playing with the twins in her later years.
All services will be private. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Claysburg. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
