Kimberly Ann Romano, 42, of 267 Pinecroft Ave., Altoona, died Monday at UPMC Altoona from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Old Sixth Avenue Road.
She was born in Bellefonte, daughter of David N. and Joan E. (Creppage) McCloskey. She married Michael J. Romano on Aug. 1, 2013.
Surviving are her husband; her parents of Tyrone; a daughter, Tiffany Marie Ross of Altoona; a brother, Gregg McCloskey of Grazierville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Kimberly was a 1989 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a graduate of Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. She was employed at Penn State University as a system design specialist. She was a member of the World Wildlife Society and an avid historian of old Celtic and Irish wars, the Civil War and WWII. She was also a Penn State fan.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, 2013, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, Timothy McCloskey officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
