Richard Lee Singer, 72, Altoona, died Monday at UPMC Altoona after an extended illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of Russell C. and Elsie Anna (Burkhart) Singer. He married Carol Bowman on Oct. 5, 1963.
Surviving are his wife; three children: Monica Ingraham and husband, Ken, Jennifer DeCriscio and husband, Martin, and Richard and wife, Stefany; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five siblings: Bonnie, Patricia Hughes, Dorothey Heverly, Linda Rowles and Russell.
He was preceded in death by two siblings: Mary Lou Edwards and Gerald.
Richard was a 1960 graduate of Altoona High School. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1960-64 on the USS Kitty Hawk. He worked at PPG as a diamond wheel redresser and retired in 1990 after 26 years of service.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
