Chalmer B. Weyandt, 77, Claysburg, passed away Wednesday at home.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Bradie M. and Mary J. (Smith) Weyandt. He married Bonnie Smith on July 6, 1959, in Klahr.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Chalmer R. Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Hollidaysburg and Bradie M. of Claysburg; two daughters: Cheryl A. Bowers of State College and Susan K. Feathers of Claysburg; six grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Mearle of Claysburg.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles and Melvin; and a sister, JoAnn.
Chalmer was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg. He was a self-employed woodsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Claysburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, Pastors Erik Lingenfelter and Elwood Pfaunmiller officiating. Interment will be at Lower Claar Cemetery.
