Jane (McIntyre) Lehman, 93, Martinsburg, passed away Friday at Homewood at Martinsburg.
She was born in Six Mile Run, daughter of the late James M. and Gladys P. (Shuke) McIntyre. She married John C. Lehman in 1941, and they lived in Everett and New Carrollton, Md., before relocating to Martinsburg.
Surviving are two daughters: Susann Shimer of Sonoma, Calif., and Beth Garner and husband, Jeffrey, of Martinsburg; a son, John C. Jr. and wife, Noni, of College Park, Md.; six grandchildren: Daniel Shimer, Andrew Shimer, Amy Carpenter and husband, Robert; Jane Hoenstine and husband, A.J.; John C. Lehman III and Jillian Lehman; four great-grandchildren: Delilah Shimer, Jane Carpenter, Jeffrey Hoenstine and Jay Hoenstine; and two sisters: Annis Sims of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Frances Spargo of Lacey, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers: Byron and Victor; a sister, Helen; and an infant brother.
Jane was a 1936 graduate of Broad Top Township High School. She also attended Dickinson Seminary and Junior College, Williamsport, and Edgewood Park School, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. She deeply loved her family and enjoyed the time she spent with them. She was also an avid reader. She was special and treasured by all of her family.
Pastor Scott E. Schul will conduct a private graveside service Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at the former McIntyre Cemetery in Six Mile Run.
