William C.L. Davis, 42, Pinecroft, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday.
He was born in Altoona, son of Conrad Davis and Anna Mae "Cookie" Decker. He married Shannon R. Weyant on Sept. 9, 2006, at Bellwood Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Jeffrey Gvozd of Altoona and Dalton Davis at home; two daughters: Kala Wooten and Sidney Davis at home; two brothers: Raymond Gvozd and Dale Davis, both of Altoona; a sister, Tina (Bob) Davis-Schmittle of Bellwood; his mother of Pinecroft; his father of Altoona; his parents-in-law, Diane and Roy Weyant of Claysburg; two sisters-in-law: Jennifer Weyant-Erdman of West Middlesex and Elizabeth Smith of Hopewell; and aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Billy was a 1989 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School and the owner and contractor of Billy Davis Construction, Altoona. He was a member and baptized at Bellwood Church of the Brethren in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his children and family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Bellwood Church of the Brethren, Pastor Rod Thomas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Billy's memory be made to Bellwood Church of the Brethren.
