Orpha C. Sager, 92, Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, died Wednesday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late G. Clair and Sarah (Prough) Wilson. She married Homer A. Sager on Sept. 21, 1945, and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Charlotte J. (Wayne) Eastlack of Sewell, N.J.; five grandchildren: Jared (Julie), Jason (Florencia), Erin, Daniel and Steven; and five great-grandchildren: Brandon, Tommy, Erin, Carter and Anna Kate.
Orpha was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School and Altoona School for Secretaries. She retired from Unkel Joe's Woodshed. She attended Altoona Alliance Church, where she founded the 60 Alive program and served as church secretary. She loved entertaining family and friends and enjoyed photographs and scrapbooks.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at Altoona Alliance Church, 3220 Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, by Pastor Timothy McGarvey. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Altoona Alliance Church in Orpha's memory.
