Wilson M. Hampton, 78, Altoona, died Friday at Valley View Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born in Grazierville, son of the late Roy Sr. and Sarah (Hetrick) Hampton.
Surviving are a daughter, Lisa of Altoona; a son, Wilson Jr. and wife, Beverly Budzinski, of Tyrone; a grandson, Jonathan; and two sisters: Mildred Bezilla in Ohio and Martha Hampton of Tyrone.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Ann (Fisher); three brothers: Roy Jr., Walter "Oat" and Lester "Jake"; and three sisters: Marian Wilson, Mary Bartlebaugh and Treva Bridges.
Wilson was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean conflict, and he was employed at DelGrosso Foods Inc. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching wrestling on TV and being with his dog, Baby, and he loved relaxing on the porch.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or service.
