Jason Ray Charlton, 72, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Somerset County, died Friday at the home of his son, David. He was born in Somerset County, son of Samuel and Vergie (Dove) Charlton.
Surviving are a son, David and wife, Amy Renee Berkheimer, of Hollidaysburg; a sister, Dorothy Corden; a sister-in-law, Betty Charlton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 38 years, Emma Jean (Smith), on Aug. 15, 2005; and four brothers: the Rev. Samuel, Vincent, Franklin and Fred.
Jason was a graduate of the former Forbes High School and a retired retail manager for F. W. Woolworth stores.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service Monday, August 12, 2013, at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, Pastor Larry C. Hoover officiating. Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Stoystown.
