LEADING OFF: The Curve were off on Monday after a six-game homestand as they went 3-3 but dropped their last two to Akron. The Curve will open up a four-game road trip in Binghamton today, starting at 5:35. It will be the first game of a doubleheader. LHP Eliecer Navarro will get the start in game 1 for the Curve.
SAFE AT FIRST: OF Alex Dickerson was named the Eastern League's Player of the Month for July, hitting a league high .413 in the month. He led the league with 43 hits, 71 total bases, 27 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He also led the league with a .683 slugging percentage and 1.123 OPS. He also earned Player of the Week twice in July.
STEALING SECOND: RHP Jameson Taillon was officially added to Triple-A Indianapolis' roster on Monday. He started Monday's game for the Indians, pitching five innings, striking out five. He gave up three runs on three hits while getting the loss.
ROUNDING THIRD: In order to make room for Taillon, RHP David Bromberg was sent back down to Altoona. Bromberg had two starts with the Indians, most recently on Friday, getting the win in 5 2/3 innings. He got the loss in his first start, pitching five innings and only allowing two runs. With the Curve, Bromberg is 5-8 with a 3.71 ERA.
HEADING HOME: Binghamton OF Cesar Puello was one of the 12 players that accepted 50 game suspension for violating baseball's drug policy. Puello hit .289 and drove in eight runs against the Curve this year.
