WINTER BOWLING LEAGUES: Winter bowling league secretaries can pick up their league kits on Saturday, Aug. 17 at the Pleasant Valley Bowling Center from 9-11 a.m. Kits will be delivered to the bowling centers for bowlers who can't pick up the kits that day.
GREENWOOD MEADOWS BASEBALL GOLF CLASSIC: Saturday, Aug. 17 at Sinking Valley Country Club. Shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Beverages and snacks will be available, along with prizes and competitions. BELLWOOD-ANTIS HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Season passes will be on sale Monday, Aug. 19 in the school district office from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Ticket prices are $20 for adults, $10 for students and include all varsity, junior varsity and junior high games. Four reserved seats for the Aug. 30 Tyrone game can be purchased for $5 for each season-ticket holder. All other reserved seats for the Bellwood/Tyrone game will be on sale Monday, Aug. 26. Ticket prices are $5 for game reserved tickets, $4 for adult general admission tickets and $2 for general admission students. Bellwood-Antis Senior Citizen passes will be on sale Monday, Aug. 26 at the school district office from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at $5 per ticket and $25 for a lifetime pass.
CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL: Reserved tickets for last season's ticket holders can be picked up or purchased at the CHS main office from 7:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Monday-Friday beginning Aug. 12. Unclaimed reserved seats go on sale to the general public on Aug. 20. Cost is $25 for an adult reserved seat for five home games; $20 for a reserved parking pass for five home football games. SCSD employee discounts and Senior Pass (age 65 or older and SCSD resident) discounts must be made in person with appropriate identification. ALTOONA AREA TEENER BASEBALL LEAGUE FALL CLINICS: The league will holding fall clinics for all players right out of Little League who will be playing Teener or Pony League baseball next spring. Glendale sports: Physical make-up day is Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the nurse's office. All Glendale students in grades 7-12 who plan on playing a sport and haven't already had a sports physical, are encouraged to attend. Physical forms can be obtained in the high school office or on the Glendale athletic website.
