MANCHESTER, N.H. - It seems like getting 10 or more hits in a game for the Curve is becoming the norm.
For the fifth straight game, the Curve recorded more than 10 hits - this time 12 - as they finished a four-game sweep of New Hampshire, downing the Fisher Cats, 7-3, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium before 6,022 on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, the Curve have strung together the second-longest winning streak this season, now at five.
In the past five games, the Curve have tallied 68 hits and averaged more than seven runs per game.
A large part of those hits and runs have been thanks to both Alex Dickerson and Jarek Cunningham, who both have recorded 11 hits apiece during the winning streak. The 11 hits are a team high.
And on Sunday, Dickerson played a large role, driving in two runs and collecting two hits. Cunningham also added a hit and an RBI in the win.
Four Curve players tallied two hits including Dickerson, Oscar Tejeda, Charlie Cutler and Kelson Brown.
Along with Dickerson's two doubles that drove in runs, Cutler provided a big hit as he blasted a solo homer in the fourth inning that put the Curve up 4-1. In the past five games, Cutler has hit .571, a team high.
For the third time in the last four games, the Curve jumped out to an early lead as Drew Maggi tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Gregory Polanco.
After the Fisher Cats answered in the bottom half of the first, the Curve once again answered, scoring twice in the second. In the last six innings, the Curve outscored New Hampshire, 4-2.
In his first game since coming of the disabled list, Casey Sadler picked up his eighth win of the season. He pitched five innings, allowing just two runs on two hits. Sadler, who was sidelined after being hit in the knee by a comebacker before the All-Star break, is now 3-0 in day games this season and 6-0 away from Peoples Natural Gas Field.
New Hampshire's Deck McGuire got the loss.
The Curve have an off day today before opening up a six-game homestand, starting with Binghamton on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
