Sylvia Mooney, 83, passed away Monday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina Luciano. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Loren Mooney Sr. She later married William Faxon Cockrell, who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are four children: Susan Kay Nogle-Henry, Thomas Loren Mooney Jr., Charles Daniel Mooney and Jennifer Lee Rabideau; six stepchildren: Cathy Benefiel, Linda Ray, Darlene Laughlin, Sherri Havens, Billi Brown and Faxon Crockrell; 12 grandchildren: Jason Nogle, James Nogle, Brianne Gourley, Nicholas Autrey, Jeremy Autrey, Tim Mooney, Alexis Mooney, Barrett Mooney, Anthony Mooney, Jacob Mooney, Mark Rabideau and Leah Rabideau; six great-grandchildren; and a brother, David Luciano.
At the time of her passing, she was a member of Hartwell Baptist Church in Cincinnati. She previously was a member of Brown County Community Church in Indiana, where she was the piano player for several years.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Family Funeral Care, 5791 Rockville Road, Indianapolis, Ind. Interment will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery.
