William E. Croyle, 73, Bellwood, died Saturday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
He was born in Bellwood, son of the late Harold E. and Helen (Isenberg) Croyle.
Surviving are a cousin, Patty Isenberg of Bellwood, and her family; and a special friend, Julaine Kutz of Bellwood.
William was a 1957 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. After graduation, he worked at his family business, Bellwood Electric, and he retired as a carrier/clerk from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood, for more than 50 years, where he served as elder, clerk of session, Sunday school teacher and editor of the church newsletter. He was also a member and past master of Tyrone Lodge 494, F&AM.
William enjoyed studying biblical and American history and was an avid Penn State fan, especially football.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood, where a Masonic service will be held at 5:45 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Logan Valley Presbyterian Church, Bellwood, the Rev. Charles Curley officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
