Christine Louise "Nan" Shuke, 64, of Tyrone died Saturday evening, July 20, 2013, at her residence.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late James A. and Mildred A. (Rhine) George. She married Terry Lee Shuke Sr. on June 24, 1967, in Altoona.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Terry L. Shuke Jr. and wife, Janice, and their children: Jaydyn and Jaylee, all of Tyrone; a son, Todd A. Shuke and his wife, Angela, and their children: Adam, Aaron, MacKenzie, Abigail and Michael, all of Patton; a son, Charles F. Fluke and his fiancee, Christine, of Altoona; a sister, Pamela Baker and her husband, Terry; a brother, James A. George Jr.; and a brother, Walter George and his wife, Paula, all of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Shuke was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, Altoona.
Christine was a 1966 graduate of Altoona High School.
She retired as head meat wrapper for Giant Eagle after 20 years service.
She enjoyed collecting all types of frogs and playing Bingo. During the 1950s and 1960s, she was a member of the Rainbow Girls.
Friends will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Avenue, Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m.
