Don Strohman, 58, Mechanicsburg, passed away Saturday at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Donald and Ruth (Steele) Strohman.
Surviving are his loving wife, Francine (Palm); two sons: Donald III of Mechanicsburg and Shawn and wife, Shannon, of Escalon, Calif.; four sisters: Sharon Luther and husband, Harv, of Coupon, Debbie Hoover and husband, Gary, of Patton, Pam Luther of Altoona and Shawna Reilly of Hollidaysburg; and numerous nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Lynn Strohman; two brothers: Jim and Herbert; and a brother-in-law, John Smith.
Don worked as a print manager for DST Health Solutions. He held the position of treasurer for the Sarah Lynn Strohman Foundation, which he held so dear to his heart. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed all types of trains, hunting and fishing, the Civil War and Gettysburg. Family was the most important thing in his life.
Friends will be received from 9:30 until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg. Burial will take place in Longsdorf Cemetery.
